The House Edge on a DonutSMP Casino, Game by Game

BetDonut runs a flat 3% house edge on every game, and the multipliers you see already include it. Here is how that is enforced in the engines rather than promised in marketing.

One number, every game

The edge is 3% across the arcade, which means a 97% return. The multiplier shown next to a bet already has the edge applied, so the number you see is the number you are paid.

There is no game with a worse edge hidden in the lobby, and no risk setting that quietly changes it. Low, medium and high risk change how often you win and how much — they do not change the return.

Derived, not typed in

In the newer engines the payouts are computed from the edge rather than written down beside it. Keno’s table is built from the real hypergeometric probabilities of the draw and then scaled so the return lands on 97% for every spot count and risk level. A case’s listed multipliers are its item weights scaled the same way. Towers prices each rung so that cashing out on any row carries the same margin as any other.

The point of doing it this way is that the margin is a single constant with tests asserting the return of every configuration against it. A paytable cannot drift away from the stated edge without the test suite failing.

Where it is most visible: Roll

The wheel everyone else ships is 14 red, 14 black and one green, paying 2x on a colour. That is a 6.67% edge no matter what the green pocket pays, because 7/15 at 2x returns 93.3%.

BetDonut gives green 3% of the wheel and splits the rest, which puts a colour at 48.5% paying exactly 2x and green at 32.33x. Both bets return 97%, so there is no sucker bet on the table.

Common questions

What is the RTP?

97% on every game, which is the other way of stating the 3% house edge.

Does high risk have a worse edge?

No. Risk levels change variance — how often you win and how big — but every configuration returns 97%.

Is the edge included in the multiplier shown?

Yes. Multipliers are quoted after the edge, so no further deduction happens at payout.
