How Provably Fair Works on a DonutSMP Casino
Every BetDonut round commits to a hashed server seed before you play, and you can recompute the result yourself from the revealed seed, your client seed and the nonce.
The commitment comes first
Before you place a bet, the site has already chosen a server seed and shown you its hash. It cannot change the seed afterwards without the hash no longer matching, so the outcome of your round is fixed before you act on it.
Your rounds are numbered with a nonce against that seed pair, and your own client seed goes into the mix, so neither side alone decides a result.
Then the seed is revealed
When a seed pair is rotated, its server seed is published. At that point anyone — no account needed — can take the server seed, the client seed and the nonce and recompute the round on the Provably Fair page.
The verifier recomputes the outcome rather than looking it up: a Mines layout, a Towers tower, a Keno draw, a Crash point. If what it produces disagrees with what you were paid, that is evidence, not a support ticket.
What "deterministic" has to mean for this to hold
Nothing in any game engine calls a random number generator. Every outcome, including multi-step rounds like a slot cascade or an eight-row tower, is read in order from one HMAC float stream keyed by the seed pair and the nonce. That is the property that makes a round reproducible at all.
The whole tower is drawn when a Towers round starts, not row by row as you climb, so the server cannot move a bomb once you have committed — and the revealed seed proves it did not.
Common questions
Do I need an account to verify a round?
No. The Provably Fair page takes a server seed, client seed and nonce from anyone and recomputes the outcome.
Why can I not see the server seed straight away?
Because knowing it in advance would tell you the outcome of your next round. You get the hash up front, which locks the seed in, and the seed itself once the pair is rotated.
Can I set my own client seed?
Yes, and it goes into every outcome on that seed pair, which is why the site alone cannot determine a result.
